padWhat do you see?

The inspiration for the message that I am about to share with you in this article came by revelation to me during the course of meditation in the word of God. Because the bible says whatever is born of God overcomes the world, I am confident that you will be at an advantage by taking heed of what the Spirit of God is saying through this article and I pray that God Who confirms the word of His servant and performs the counsel of His messengers (Isaiah 44: 26) will confirm the truth of this message to you. Amen.

Jeremiah 1:11-12 … the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

Look, as this message is being unfolded to you, please pay attention to what you see - that is, what you comprehend and what becomes your expectation as a result of this message. God is very interested to know how He is getting through to you.

Like Jeremiah, do endeavour to see well, because it is what you see that God can give you. According to the dictionary, to be ready is to be completely prepared or to be in fit condition for immediate action. To be ready is to be willing. When you see well, God is ready to perform His word!

Many do not seem to realise this, but what God wants to do for you and through you require your active involvement and agreement. Look at this example in the dealing of Jesus with a blind man who had his sight restored in an encounter with Him:

Mark 10:46-52 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. So Jesus answered and said to him, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

It may have seemed obvious that the blind man wanted his sight restored, but Jesus did not assume so, but considered it necessary to locate the man’s expectation, so he asked: “What do you want me to do for you?”

We see that only upon his request did Jesus minister healing to him. So, as far as God is concerned, your desire is very important. God does not work by Himself, but through you! As you go through this article, please see that you are fully engaged to do what God is expecting of you. You are God’s handiwork and so He has a great purpose for you in His agenda. Glory be to God!

Jesus responding to the centurion who confidently asserted that Jesus only needed to speak a word for His paralytic servant to be healed said:

Matthew 8:13 “Go your way, and AS YOU HAVE BELIEVED, so let it be done for you.”

And the bible says: “His servant was healed that same hour.” So, what the centurion saw was what was used by God to heal his servant.

Proverbs 10:24b The desire of the righteous will be granted.

What do you see?

God does really want to know what you see and makes it a condition for the release of His power and blessing.

Look at another example:

Matt 16:13-19 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loose] in heaven.”

When you see well, God is ready to perform His word!

The woman with the issue of blood also saw well, and so caused the power of God to flow into her life to meet her need:

Mark 5:28-34 For SHE said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” IMMEDIATELY the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WELL. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.

God’s power is always present – whether you cause a flow and experience it depends very much on you.

When you see well, GOD IS READY to perform His word!

Look at what is written: “Immediately the fountain of her blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.”

That, despite the fact that the affliction had persisted for 12 years previously!

This is why it so vital for you to:

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “Cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”

Why? Because it is what you see that God can give you.

You need to reject every image and picture of failure and impossibility concerning the will of God for you, because the bible says God’s thoughts toward you are of good and not of evil:

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

So those negative images and pictures in your mind, in your heart and in your dreams originate from Satan or your carnal nature and are designed to hinder you from obtaining your desire and reaching your destiny. The good news is that: If you do not accept and give them a place they cannot develop.

You will do well to keep in mind what Jesus said concerning Satan:

John 8:44 “He does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

So those negative pictures are LIES and you need to treat them as such and have nothing to do with them other than to condemn them.

Thank God that He has empowered you to tread on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

He did that to give YOU control over them – there is no reason for you to be a victim of negative pictures and dreams. Condemn and crush them in the name of Jesus and they will not develop. Those pictures will only be as significant as you allow them to be. You have God’s permission and power to disallow evil in your life, so take up your responsibility and do that. Amen.

In Psalm 101:3, you will understand the resolve of David when he says:

“I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; It shall not cling to me”

It’s time to get rid of what you do not want to cling to you. You need to see well!

What you see is what God can give you.

See what God said to Abraham to help him receive his blessing:

Genesis 13:14-18 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the LORD.

If you too can see your healing and blessing based on what God has promised to you, He will give it to you. The entire blessing that you see can become yours and your descendants, so make it a habit to see well. Do not allow unbelief and pictures of failure to block your blessing; instead, cast them down and those pictures will not develop. Study the word and listen to anointed gospel messages because they contain 'lenses' and the pictures of the blessing that God wants to develop in your life and through you.

Glory be to God for His living word that gives us light and understanding.

Peace from God, and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
